Sok Win sustained severe injuries from strikes to the neck and back, which led to his death while being transported to the Ream Commune Health Center. Mean Pha Khen was injured with lighter strikes to the back of his head and back.

Following the incident, the Prey Nop District Police Inspectorate and Bit Trang Police Station promptly responded to the scene, where they arrested the suspects and confiscated three wooden sticks and a mobile phone.
